We recommend bringing plenty of water, a sun hat, and sun cream. There is very little shade in the field, so please come prepared. 


The Sunflower Experience and Summer Pick Your Own!

We are open 10am-4pm Thursday-Sunday. Standard entry is £5, 5-12 year olds £2, and under 5's is free. The cost of entry is redeemable against produce. There is no need to book.

Alongside the Sunflowers there will be PYO Potatoes, Sweetcorn, Gladioli and Courgette. There will also be a Wildflower Meadow, plants for sale from our nursery, and of course, Little Schnauzer Coffee Company will be serving up their wonderful food and drink!

Set in the rolling Nottinghamshire countryside a few miles north of Nottingham, this family-run 'Pick Your Own' has 1000's of pumpkins and squashes for you to choose from in October. And for the first time this August, we held our Sunflower Experience! 5 acres. 40,000+ sunflowers! 

With a family-friendly atmosphere, delicious food by Little Schnauzer Coffee Company and Rocket Dogs, and free parking, this is the perfect outing for all the family!

Family Business

Starting 13 years ago with 300 pumpkins, this family-run business has grown steadily over the years. Now, we grow 1000's of pumpkins and ornamental squashes! 

In 2021, we held our inaugural Sunflower Experience. Over 40,000 sunflowers to explore on a lovely summers day in the Nottinghamshire countryside. In 2022, we will be opening the Sunflower Experience again, alongside some other lovely pick-your-own produce!

The Sunflower Experience and Summer Pick Your Own

The 2022 Sunflower Experience and Summer Pick Your Own is now open.

We recommend bringing plenty of water, a sun hat, and sun cream. There is very little shade in the field, so please come prepared. 

This year we will have not only 30,000+ Sunflowers, but also PYO Potatoes, Sweetcorn, Gladioli and Courgette!* There will also be a Wild Flower Meadow, and of course, delicious food and drink from Little Schnauzer Coffee Company! 

We will also be selling plants grown at our family-run nursery, Minster Nursery.

There will be professional photographers on-site on select day, perfect for getting some treasured photos amongst the sunflowers! This was a big hit last year, with loads of beautiful photos! Please keep scrolling for more information on this.

We are not sure when the Experience will finish, as that depends on the crop.

Information for photographers: If you are a photographer and would like to use the site, please get in touch with us.

Information for visitors: There will be photographers on-site on select days. They will be listed below. You need to book in in-advance with these photographers directly please. We do not handle any arrangements between clients and photographers. You will still need to pay our entry fee if you have booked in for a session with a photographer.

We do not yet have an end date for the Sunflower Experience as it will depend of when the sunflowers and produce are over, which is mostly dependent on the weather. 

Please do not message us to ask about a closing date, as we do not yet know. We will update our website and social media once we have an idea of when we will close.

Where is the field?

Oaks Lane, Oxton, Southwell, Nottinghamshire, NG25 0RH.

We are opposite the entrance to the golf course.

You can find us on Google Maps. 

What produce do you have? 

Sunflowers, potatoes, courgette, gladioli and sweetcorn. We also have plants from our nursery, and a wild flower meadow. 

Please note that some of the produce may not yet be ready to pick, so it is dependent on availability.


Do I need to bring secateurs? 

No, there is no need to bring secateurs.


Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, no dogs or other animals are allowed.

Do I need to book?
No, there is no need to book, please just turn up.

Do you accept cash and card payments?
Yes, we accept both cash and card payments.


Do you have food on-site?
Yes, we have Little Schnauzer Coffee Company with us, serving hot and cold drinks, ice creams, cake, paninis and crêpes! They have been our food-and-drink-based partners since we opened in 2019, and they are hugely popular! 

Can I bring a Picnic?
Yes, picnics are allowed. We ask that you are respectful of your surroundings and other visitors, and to please take all rubbish home with you. Leave no trace.


I'm a photographer wanting to take pictures of my clients.

Please drop us an email to arrange this. There is a fee for photographers to pay, and your clients will still have to pay entry. 

When do the sunflowers finish or close?

It ends when the sunflowers and produce are over. This is dependent on what weather we have, as the crops are dependent on the weather conditions.

 We hope to be open until the end of August.

Please do not message us to ask, as we do not yet know. We will update our website and social media as soon as we have an idea of an end date. 

Are there toilets in the field?
Yes - we have two portaloos. 

Is the field suitable for a pushchair?
Yes, it is mostly accessible with a pushchair, but as it is a field, it is quite uneven. 

Can I Fly a drone?
No we don't allow drones on site.
